Mark R. Hemingway

I grew up with the bug for something to do with the entertainment field. I first started off with the acting bug; I was in the drama classes and doing the plays. I used to get my parents to rent a video camera for my friends and I so that we could make little movies. So I guess you can say that I never really grew up, I just got older and bought my own camera.

When I did grow up I went to Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham, Oregon and got a degree in Television Production. Right out of school I landed a position at KPTV Channel 12 (UPN) in Portland, Oregon where I worked for 3 and a half years as an Editor/Photographer. I then moved to KGW Channel 8 and worked as an Editor for 3 years. I moved on from News and got more into my own projects. Enjoying life with my beautiful wife of over 3 years now as well as our new addition to the household, Audrey, my beautiful baby girl born December 26th 2006.

In my time as a filmmaker I have made 1 Feature, "Art Against Life" and about a dozen short films. Also do Music Videos, currently in Production with Geoff Byrd on our second music video, Featurette. Look for that in March at his release party. Just entered into pre-production on If These Walls which will be shooting in mid may. Trying to stay busy and still enjoy this craft. Getting paid would be great, but I think I will continue to do it either way.
